Excrescences of the Mexican Drug War

In this report CNN shows security camera footage of the recent jailbreak in Cieneguillas where cartel members dressed as federal police and pretended to transfer cartel inmates. Reporter Michel Ware gives an analysis of the current situation of the Mexican drug war and suggests legalization of all drugs as the only viable solution. This is followed by a great summary by Judge James Gray explaining the five main groups benefiting from the status quo with regard to drug prohibition.

Cancer drug erases fingerprints

A Singapore man undergoing treatment for cancer was detained for four hours by U.S. immigration officials after the drug he was taking caused his fingerprints to disappear.

Now, the unidentified man's oncologist is asking patients taking the commonly used drug, capecitabine, to carry a doctor's note when they travel to the United States.
...

According to the oncologist, the patient had neck and head cancer that had spread. He responded well to chemotherapy.

To prevent a recurrence, doctors placed him on capecitabine, marketed in the United States as Xeloda.

One of the side effects of the drug is hand-foot syndrome. It causes the skin on the hands and feet to peel. With time, the drug can erase fingerprints.

"It is uncertain when the onset of fingerprint loss will take place in susceptible patients who are taking capecitabine," the doctor wrote.

Germany bans Red Bull Cola for cocaine traces

German authorities have banned some retailers from selling the energy drink Red Bull ola, as the country considers a nationwide ban, after traces of cocaine were found in it.

A food safety institute in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia found the drug during a test on Red Bull samples, the UK newspaper Daily Mail reported.

"The institute examined Red Bull cola in an elaborate chemical process and found traces of cocaine," Bernhard Kuehnle, head of the food safety department at the federal ministry for consumer protection said.

While the levels of the drug found do not pose a health threat, it is still illegal. The contamination would require the drink to be classified as a narcotic, not a foodstuff.

Red Bull argues the drink contains de-cocainized extract of coca leaf, which is used as natural flavoring in foods worldwide.

The company also claimed the coca leaf extract is considered safe in the EU and in the US.

Never Get Busted Again - Advice from Ex-Narc Barry Cooper

After recently watching an Alex Jones show (yes, I do take Alex Jones with a huge grain of salt) where Kopbusters.com's remorseful ex-narc Barry Cooper provided an interesting inside look on police corruption and the pervasiveness of drug planting to frame suspects, I gave Cooper's "Never Get Busted" and "Never Get Raided Again" a look and realized that this should be mandatory watching for everybody finding himself on the wrong end of the drug war. Because even if you've got nothing to do with drugs at all, you are basically constantly at danger of being framed by corrupt cops. If cops accidentally raid and frame the wrong person, they will pull through with it in order to protect themselves, no matter what.

Honestly, this particular Alex Jones show is good stuff, you should check it out. Cooper is a guy who literally made a full u-turn in his life. In the interview he is fighting back his tears several times whenever the topic comes up of how much misery he has caused to families.
