NORML Pro-Pot TV ad blankets US
The advertising media used by the campaign combined low cost national cable and Ohio News Network. For added exposure element a PR bonus blitz was distributed via PRweb.com.
Initially, it was difficult t get approval to run NORML’s PSA/Commercial. Ohio News Network was quick to be first but other media outlets passed. Finally, a national media vendor with homes in every market in the country, gave the go ahead.
The National Cable Homes buy (April 20-April 22, 2009) reached homes with ’smart cableboxes’, which tracks the precise networks and advertising spots watched. NORML only paid for the audience reached and who stayed tuned to the ads.
-97.5% of people who watched the stay tuned in.
-Average length of time they viewed was 59.2 seconds
NORML’s ad buyers viewed the PSA as being very effective, and for the very high percentage of the public who watched the ad, they apparently could not turn away.

Calling it dangerous is not only exaggerated, but silly considering the multitude of activities one engages in on any given day that endangers both ourselves and others (say, driving for instance).
While it is certainly possible that regular marijuana use could increase the stupidity of people who are stupid by nature, the same could be said of alcohol, television or food (just to name a few).
Promoting criminal activity is not something any substance does. Greed; desire for money and power, promote criminal activity (traits of humans, not plants). Drugs are simply tools to obtain those things.
Of course, since marijuana is currently illegal, he is technically right on this one. Yes, Larry, because of current draconian legislation, anyone who even touches marijuana is TECHNICALLY promoting criminal activity. Of course, so were members of the Boston Tea Party, or civil rights activists during the days of segregation laws. "If it ever does become legalized, and the crime rate RISES (it will) and the drop-out rate of school-going youths INCREASES (and it will), I'M GOING TO LAUGH." *Well, as long as you have our best interests at heart. It seems we have on our hands, a cruel-hearted psychic who smirks at the notion of a struggling society. "Don't worry, though. There are more non-users in this country than addicts, people who are clear in the head who can see the dangers of unleashing drugs onto our streets. And, they have not, nor would they ever agree to such a ridiculous pipe-dream. To do so would put us all in DANGER." *Well, you have certainly convinced me. I can now sleep well at night knowing those who are "clear in the head" are keeping me safe from all the scary things in the world. (For the record, I have only met a very small number of humans who are truly "clear in the head". And most of them were monks.)
BTW, last time I checked, DRUGS WERE ALREADY UNLEASHED ONTO THE STREETS. That's one of the points of legalization. To get drugs off the streets and into federal regulation.
And of course, one last shout of "Danger!" just in case you weren't convinced. Cue the Simpsons lady, "Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children???!" "Thanks for the laughs." *Thanks for the laughs.
i hope its sarcasm misunderstood well sorry larry, but we have the bee-e-a-utiful example of Portugal.
not exactly what you seem to predict.
